Horizon Power Catamarans Retains the Title of “Favorite Power Catamaran” in the 2025 Southern Boating Readers’ Choice Awards!
The readers have spoken, again! For the second consecutive year, Horizon Power Catamarans has been voted “Favorite Power Catamaran” by the readers of Southern Boating magazine. It was another tight race this year, with ten builders vying for the coveted title, but Horizon was able to maintain its edge over the competition.
“It was exciting to watch this one,” says Southern Boating‘s publisher James Anderson during his regular podcast. “This award is testament to the passion that Richard Ford puts into his yachts and how much the owners appreciate every thought that goes into the design and technology.”
Over 40,000 readers of the magazine weighed in on this year’s categories, which spanned boating accessories to builders. The rising popularity of power catamarans made this year’s 10-builder category a hotly contested one, but in the end, Horizon once again rose above its South African and European counterparts as the preferred powercat builder.
