THE FIRST OF ITS KIND – A NEW LAYOUT PC60 COMBINES OPEN SALON WITH PORTUGUESE DECK

Innovation and customizations are cornerstones of the Horizon Power Catamaran build experience, and one of our latest PC60 builds exemplifies this ethos. As the first PC60 to combine an Open Salon layout with the highly sought-after Portuguese Deck configuration, the yacht is the perfect demonstration of how owner feedback continues to shape the future of the PC Series.

While the Portuguese Deck first debuted aboard a PC60 in 2025, pairing this innovative feature with the Open Salon layout presented a new opportunity to maximize both interior and exterior living spaces. The result is a yacht that feels remarkably open, connected, and versatile.

“Horizon owners love the openness and natural light of the open salon, and they also love the protected, versatile living space created by the Portuguese Deck,” says Horizon Power Catamarans Founder and CEO Richard Ford. “Bringing these two features together gives our clients the best of both worlds. You get the airy atmosphere of the open salon and the extended outdoor usability of the Portuguese Deck, all integrated in a way that enhances the lifestyle on board.”

Forward of the flybridge helm, the Portuguese Deck transforms previously underutilized space into a dedicated outdoor retreat. Accessible via a convenient centerline pass-through, the area features convertible hi/lo dinettes that can serve as dining tables, casual seating, or expansive sun lounges. Combined with the semi-enclosed skylounge above, the layout offers multiple vantage points from which to enjoy the journey, whether entertaining guests or relaxing at anchor.

Inside, the Open Salon configuration takes full advantage of the PC60’s generous 24-foot, 6-inch beam. A spacious galley flows seamlessly into the salon, where large windows and light finishes enhance the sense of openness. A raised forward lounge creates an inviting gathering space while maintaining clear sightlines throughout the main deck.

Accommodations are equally impressive. The three-stateroom, four-head layout includes a full-beam master suite occupying the entire starboard hull, delivering a level of privacy and comfort more commonly associated with much larger yachts.

Guest accommodations are thoughtfully arranged in the port hull, ensuring a welcoming environment for family and friends.

 

Like all new Horizon Power Catamaran builds, PC60-636 is equipped with the advanced Victron-powered Silent Living Package, allowing for up to 20 hours of generator-free comfort each day. Paired with twin MAN i6 850hp engines delivering a 20-knot cruising speed and approximately 25-knot top speed, the yacht combines quiet efficiency with confident performance.

With its pioneering layout and elevated onboard lifestyle, this PC60 marks an exciting milestone for the PC60 series and sets a new benchmark for future builds.

A Strong Showing at Palm Beach

The 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show ended on a high note, capping off a dynamic week of engagement and exceptional weather and strong interest across our showcase.

Set against a backdrop of bright skies and warm Palm Beach sunshine, Horizon Power Catamarans welcomed more than 120 visiting parties aboard our display throughout the five-day event, held March 25 – 29, 2026.

This year’s exhibit focused on two PC60 models, each demonstrating the versatility and enduring appeal of Horizon’s most popular platform. From first-time buyers exploring the power catamaran category to existing owners returning for their next build, the audience reflected the continued expansion and loyalty within the Horizon Power Catamaran community.

Particular attention centered on the newest PC60 — on display for exhibition purposes only — which highlighted the model’s evolving design language and customization potential. This model represented the first layout combining an Open Salon within the interior and a Portuguese Deck on the exterior. First introduced aboard a PC68 model at the 2023 Palm Beach show, the Portuguese Deck configuration once again proved to be a defining feature, offering owners expanded forward living space that seamlessly connects to the flybridge and enhances the onboard experience. Combined for the first time with the Open Salon layout and enhanced with Horizon Power Catamarans’ advanced Silent Living system offering hours of generator-free comfort, the PC60 continues to strike a compelling balance between performance and efficiency.

Beyond the yachts themselves, the show underscored a broader trend within the Horizon fleet: progression. Throughout the week, the team engaged in a number of meaningful discussions with existing owners considering upgrades, alongside new clients entering the brand. This ongoing cycle of ownership speaks to the long-term value and confidence placed in Horizon Power Catamarans, as well as the strength of its owner relationships.

A Standout Fort Lauderdale Show!

Two powercat sales were confirmed during the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, highlighting strong interest from both repeat and first-time clients.

Horizon Power Catamarans wrapped the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on an undeniable high, welcoming more than 600 visitors aboard the exhibiting PC68 and PC60 power catamarans throughout the five-day event. Despite a rainy opening day, the weather turned and the remainder of the show delivered the kind of vibrant energy, strong attendance, and active engagement that the best shows are known for.

This year’s showcase placed a spotlight on the highly anticipated Portuguese Deck layout, featured aboard the PC68 on display. The forward-facing oasis, accessed through a centerline pass-through from the flybridge, resonated strongly with guests seeking expanded exterior lounging and dining space. Combined with the semi-enclosed flybridge options, dayheads, and adaptable entertainment areas, the layout – now available on PC60 models as well – once again proved to be a defining feature for Horizon’s growing powercat lineup.

 

The strong interest translated directly into meaningful results. The Horizon Powercat team confirmed two sales during the show: the PC65 Cellfish, purchased by a U.S. client stepping into their first powercat, and a new build order for a PC60 that will feature an Open Salon with a Portuguese Deck and skylounge configuration on the top deck. In addition to these immediate successes, the team reports several promising leads for a new PC68 as well as the PC60 showcased during FLIBS, reflecting strong market confidence and continued momentum.

Visitors also had the opportunity to explore the breadth of customization available across both models, from interior soft goods and stonework to advanced technical systems and handicap-friendly layouts. As with all new Horizon Power Catamaran builds, the PC60 and PC68 on display were equipped with Horizon’s advanced Victron power management package, offering extended battery-powered cooling and significant efficiency gains.

Closing two yachts during the show and securing several highly qualified leads speaks volumes about the demand for Horizon Powercats and the confidence clients have in our design, craftsmanship, and performance.”

HERE COMES THE PEACEMAKER

A new PC60 is delivered

The latest in the redesigned PC60 series has arrived! Christened Peacemaker, this PC60 is the third iteration to feature the new Portuguese Deck configuration.

Within a bright and airy interior highlighted by light woods and bright whites, Peacemaker features an On-Deck Master, spacious open salon and galley area, and three additional cabins in the hulls. The starboard hull houses a VIP ensuite and a twin, while the port hull houses an ensuite twin as well as the master ensuite forward.

The addition of the Portuguese Deck maximizes the already plentiful exterior deck areas of the PC60, which comprise the full-beam aft deck with a built-in settee and large rectangular dining table, and walkaround decks leading forward to the bow and steps to the Portuguese Deck and flybridge above. Peacemaker‘s flybridge features a walk-behind bar to port, aft of the helm station and twin helm chairs. A convertible settee and dinette with wraparound seating comprise the starboard side, while a dayhead is positioned aft on the boat deck.

Now standard on all new power catamaran builds, Peacemaker is equipped with an advanced Victron phosphate battery package paired with a Termodinamica variable speed air conditioning system that works in tandem to minimize generator usage and maximize onboard comfort. Coupled with the phosphate battery package from Victron, the Termodinamica variable speed, freon-cooled air conditioning system keeps the interior cool, dry and quiet for nearly 20 hours on battery power alone.
