NEW PC60 KAIROS DELIVERED
The first PC60 with a Portuguese Deck layout has been delivered to first-time Horizon owners.
Owners Jeff and Jennifer may be first-time Horizon PowerCat owners, but they’ve been part of the Horizon PowerCat family for years, often joining their friends at the annual Owners’ Rendezvous.
The couple decided on the popular PC60 model and commissioned the first PC60 with a Portuguese Deck layout as their new build.
First debuted on the PC68 model, the innovative Portuguese Deck design extends the exterior space offered on the yacht’s topmost deck with a centerline passage that leads through a hydraulic door from the flybridge to the foredeck, which is configured with twin built-in settees and hi/lo tables for convertible dining and lounging. While several configuration options are offered for this space, the new Portuguese Deck layout sees the two helm chairs and nav station situated to port and a passenger settee to starboard to allow for the centerline pass-through. This space can be open or enclosed for maximum versatility and includes a dayhead.
Christened Kairos, the new PC60 features a four-stateroom layout with an on-deck master suite occupying the forward-most section of the main deck. The owners worked with Horizon’s in-house design team to outfit the interior to their specifications.
Equipped with Horizon’s Silent Living package, Kairos will be able to quietly cruise or rest at anchor in its preferred cruising destination of the Abacos in The Bahamas. Coupled with Victron’s advanced phosphate battery package, the Termodinamica variable speed air conditioning system keeps the interior cool and comfortable for nearly 20 hours on battery power alone.
