Alec Hammond, Horizon Power Catamaran PC60, Blue Horizon's owner, spent nearly a year cruising the waters and shared his journey with us through exciting photos and text. See below for his exciting story.
Our cruising adventure ran from mid December 2012 through mid August 2013, with an eight week break back in the UK in the middle; during which time we slotted in some classic car racing and a long weekend trip for Alec to the Aussie Boat Show at Century Cove, Brisbane.
That's Alec with the little red 'Oxford' Chevron attempting a sneaky move up the inside of the pack at Donington Park.
Whilst on board Blue Horizon this year, we were able to entertain friends, family and treasured work colleagues from Oxford Products, most of whom flew out from the UK. In all we had 30 guests over the period, huge fun and lots of amazing memories. Somehow, it never seemed like work when we had lovely guests, more than happy to help with duties including anchoring. Horizon Yachts are pleased to announce the sale of a new PC60 Skylounge luxury power catamaran to the owner of a prominent global company in the fashion industry.
The owners commented that, “We had been looking for the ideal family yacht for some time and were considering purchasing an Italian made 90ft luxury yacht, but after closer review, the PC60 turned out to offer everything we were looking for, but at a fraction of the cost and quiet frankly, the quality is superior! We are delighted to be the new owners of a Horizon yacht and look forward to many years of happy cruising.”
The owners were looking for a serious blue water cruising yacht of high quality and wanted plenty of space with the comfort and amenities typically found on much larger mono-hulls, and found all of this on the PC60.
The new owners have extensive cruising experience and look forward to travelling to the factory to meet with Horizon’s in-house interior designers to finalize the interior décor and finis

Located just 35 miles south of Nassau, Bahamas, the Exumas are an archipelago of 365 unspoiled, shallow watered cays and islands, with most protected under the Exuma National Land and Sea Park. It is a popular yachting hotspot as well as being acknowledged as best destination for sailing, diving and coral reef and cave exploring.
The largest island within the Exumas is the Great Exuma, home to the largest city, Georgetown. Here you can swim, dive, explore or better yet, jump from your catamaran into the crystal clear waters, swim to shore and relax while sunbathing with a drink in hand.

Recently we asked two of our clients to write about their yacht charter experience.
Here is what they wrote:
We have always wanted to go to the Bahamas, so when the opportunity presented itself, to charter a yacht, we researched catamarans due to their shallow draft and stable platform. We called the charter broker and was introduced to the yacht, Sea Boss. We booked our dates for June and the anticipation started.
The captain and chef sent us preference sheets to fill out, which included our flight details, food preferences, island cruising preferences and tips-and-hints for what to bring. We quickly filled the sheet out and sent it back to the crew. The chef sent back a sample menu for the week which was now tailor-made to our exact likes and needs.
The day had come that we hopped on a plane from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau. After happily landing in Nassau, we went through a simple, quick and easy custom clearance. As we walked into the arrival hall, our captain, Conrad, wa
